Paying for your Care

Whether you are a private Client or paying through your local council, methods of payment can be discussed with a Senior member of staff at your initial assessment visit. You may be eligible to receive Direct payments or a personalised Budget from your local council. We will happy to assist you with any necessary paperwork to apply for this.

What are Direct Payments?

After your needs assessment, part of your support plan could be for you to receive a Direct Payment instead of community care services arranged directly by Adult Social Care. Direct Payments are money paid to people with assessed care needs so that they can choose, arrange and pay for their own care. This gives more choice about, and control of, the type of help and support they have to meet their care needs agreed in the support plan. You can also have a Direct Payment to pay for some of your care and ask Adult Social Care to arrange the rest. This is a good way to see if a Direct Payment is really what you want.
